Always reliable for tools

I've ordered from The Tool Nut a few times now, and they're consistently good. This last time I got a Makita circular saw. Shipping took about a week to my place in Texas, which is pretty standard for them. The tool came packaged well, just like my previous orders for a drill combo kit and some accessories. It's why I keep coming back, they just get it right.

Good reciprocating saw

I bought a Milwaukee M18 reciprocating saw. It arrived in 4 days. Tool works well, no issues with the order. Exactly what I needed for a job.

Got a new sander

So I was looking for a new sander, my old one finally died. Saw The Tool Nut had a good deal on a Bosch orbital sander, so I just grabbed it. It got here pretty quick, maybe 5 days to reach Denver. Everything was in the box and it works like it should. Had no problems with the checkout or anything. Feels good to have a working sander again.

Decent price for a planer

I was in the market for a new planer and really wanted to find a good deal. The Tool Nut had a WEN planer at a price that felt competitive after looking around. Shipping cost was a bit of a factor, but overall with the product price, it was still a solid value. The planer arrived without any damage, and it's been working fine for my projects. I felt like I got my money's worth, which is the main thing for me when buying bigger tools like this.

Looking at a big order, like a few thousand bucks worth of stuff. Do they offer any kind of bulk discount or a professional trade discount if you're buying a lot?

S Sarah Marsh 1 month ago
They do have professional trade discounts! I signed up for it a while back, got a pretty decent percentage off. Worth checking out the application process on their site.

Yeah, definitely ask about the trade discount. And sometimes if you're buying a really large quantity, they might work something out even beyond that, but the official trade program is your best bet.

Are the tools from The Tool Nut legit? Like, are they an authorized dealer for brands like Milwaukee or DeWalt, or is it like a grey market kind of thing?

N Noor E. 1 month ago
Yeah, they're totally legit. I've bought a bunch of stuff from them, always registered fine with the manufacturer for warranty. They're an authorized dealer, for sure.

Can confirm, they're authorized. Bought a Makita kit last year, no issues at all. You get the full manufacturer warranty and everything.

Hey, thinking of grabbing a new Miter Saw from Tool Nut. What's their shipping speed usually like to California? Need it kinda soon for a project.

R Rosa 1 month ago
I'm in SoCal, usually takes about 5-7 business days for larger stuff. Smaller tools might be quicker, but that's my experience.

Mine took about a week to NorCal. They use standard ground shipping for most things I think, so it varies a bit depending on where you are relative to them.

Anyone know if Tool Nut does price matching? Saw a DeWalt combo kit slightly cheaper at Home Depot last week.

A Amber 2 months ago
I think they do, but it's not super obvious on their site. You might have to contact their customer service directly to ask. I vaguely remember someone mentioning it in a review.

They used to, afaik. Not sure if it's still current policy though. Worth a shot to ask them before you buy.

What's the deal with their return policy? Bought a drill but my boss just gave me a new one, still in the box. Can I send it back without a huge hassle?

T Tom 2 months ago
As long as it's new and in the original packaging, you should be good. I returned a sander last month, no problems at all. Just follow their instructions on the site.

Yeah, if it's unused and you're within their return window, it's usually pretty smooth. Just make sure you have the receipt or order number handy.
